Product Energy Efficiency - Smartphones and Tablets. The 2023 regulations cover smartphones, feature phones, cordless phones and slate tablets. They do not apply to tablet computers, to products with flexible main display (roll-up), and to smartphones for high security communication. Energy labelling is foreseen only for smartphones and slate tablets.

    I’m curious how many european countries outside the Union will follow. Swiss cooperative Migros stopped labelling their food product, because it cost too much and was barely used.

      Same, good to find out though. Good thing is some phone manufatures will now actually have to do something about poor efficiency, if they want to sell more.

      I always look at it when buying machines for my home, why not a phone.
