I don’t blame you. I have to use 2 hands to count how many times either myself, or my wife have been dangerously close, or within a mile of a high profile shooting. I don’t even live in Austin, and I have been to that Target numerous times. People think I’m lying when I start listing them off . It’s also why I began carrying.

I’d assume that after years and years of absorbing rising prices, they just are finally at a point where they have to to stay afloat. I’m sure just the aluminum tariffs are a huge reason.

Texas hasn’t added any power generating capacity outside of the devil that is solar and wind. Solar and wind are the only reasons we haven’t seen the rolling blackouts for a few years now. Texas is even trying to make it harder to add more solar and wind, so it will strain even more.

Corpos sucking down every last drop of energy while residential will be asked to turn up the thermostat in the summer and down in the winter so we “do our part”.
Here in the states, the minimum for tipped workers is $2.13. Also, the federal minimum wage for nontip is $7.25. And they wonder why we can’t afford McDonald’s over here.
It’s geared at streaming your gaming session from a remote pc. Extremely low latency and works like a dream. I use it to stream my gaming pc to my xbox, but it will stream anything your pc does.
My 2 cents is lemmy.zip. it’s the most like the lost treasure that was lemm.ee. it leaves a lot of censoring up to the user

I’m really enjoying Tidal so far, which is a shame. I’ve heard of some people using Qobuz alongside Roon to use their recommendation engine, but I’m not sure the wife would like to add another layer to just pressing play.

I also can just watch a stream of a new game and see if it’s something I’d like to play. Saves me from buying a game I might not like.

I have plenty more but this is just off the top of my head.
The 2 highest profiles, and closest to being involved were the downtown Dallas PD shooting. We were a block away. The other was my wife was at the State Fair shooting in the building next to it. The rest would probably end up doxing myself due to location and employment, but 2 incidents at schools, 1 mall, and a couple more at restaurants.
We have really bad luck with wrong place wrong time.
Icing on the shit cake is while I didnt directly know them, a good friend knew Eva Morales from Uvalde.
