Nope, I think most banks are actually closing some branches in favor of online service.
We build betting shops and fast food places.

Funny thing, I initially wrote “is” but changed it because it felt wrong. Somehow replying to a thread about English fluency makes you second guess everything :D

Pretty fluent I guess. Most of the media I consume are in English and I never have issues understanding things (at least for US and UK content). I also think in English about half of the time. The main problem is my accent, which is terrible and trips me up a lot when trying to speak. This is one of the parts you don’t train too much when most of your communication in English happens with other non-native speakers.

Pat Boy - Mayan, which sounds amazing in songs. Eg. Xiimbal Kaaj
Ana Tijoux - Chilean Spanish. Eg. 1977

Same is possible in Thunder through Anonymous Instances but you also can’t interact with the posts.

Old SD cards are so convenient. Pair them with a small USB card reader and you can carry a bunch of temporary storage in your pocket without buying anything extra.

Climbing is fun but climbing outdoors requires mountains. Getting to mountains requires a car, or at least people willing to drive you.

So that’s how you really get Dick from Richard. TIL

Nope, this is one of those underfunded-public-sector type of things of south/east Europe. Winters here are pretty mild so it wasn’t anything crazy but it still sucked being cold most of the day.

Not exactly in trouble but in middle school we got yelled at a lot for staying inside during recess. We were supposed to go outside and leave the hallways empty. For context, in winter the school turned on the heating (at a minimum) for about 2 hours out of the 6 we were there. The rest of the time the building had a similar temperature to outside. So we’d take advantage of those hours and, during recess, we’d just flock around the radiators in the hallways and stand there talking instead of freezing outside. Some teachers really didn’t like that and made it their job to shoo us away.

Every 3-4 years which is when it starts becoming really slow or something breaks. I still keep and use the old phone though and it usually works, just not enough to daily drive.

Could you get away with running it on a vm? I did that for some college classes that needed specific programs.
I have sensitive ears. I don’t hide from fireworks but really don’t get why every celebration has to be so loud. Half of the time it’s not even fireworks but those mini bombs teenagers throw around

If your native language isn’t English (or even if you’re outside the US) I wouldn’t recommend DDG for older people. They’ll want to search in their language and most searches will be about local stuff and DDG sucks in that area. It’s my main search engine and I constantly play with the country toggle but if I want something actually local I usually end up switching to Google for this search. Just make sure to install an adblock so you avoid the “Ad” results.

Somehow I’ve ended up with 3 laptops. It’s rare to have all 3 on at the same time but it happens.

Not sure about the hilarious part but it’s never leaving your brain that’s for sure

Yeah the video doesn’t explain much, just says there is a problem. If you search for Norman Doors there is probably more material out there. We had a presentation with several examples accompanying the video so maybe that’s why it stuck so much.

Most doors are badly designed: https://youtube.com/watch?v=yY96hTb8WgI
A professor showed us this video on the first day of a design class. Now I’m passing on the curse to you. P.S Sinks are even worse.
It Follows had a great concept but kinda missed the execution by trying to be traditionally scary. The first appearances of the monster where it still looked like a human were the best because it could be anywhere at any moment. Then it started showing up as a zombie and lost that. It’s still a good movie but it could have been so much better.
