  • when you have thousands to millions of followers on a platform, from their side, it’s hard to lose that audience.

what does this signify? if these people are “following” you, are they really following you if they can’t be assed to follow you to a different platform? or is it possible that they’re all just bullshit and don’t actually give a flying fuck about you? is that what people are afraid of?

out of those thousands/millions of followers, how many of them are actually engaging/sharing/memeing your shit?

  • the real issue is that billionaires should be taxed properly, UHC in place, and cancer treatments covered already. but people have it so ingrained in their psyche that that isn’t an option that people are stuck arguing about who should be getting fucking gofundme donations (and for what purpose) over anyone else

edit: i want to add that the fact that hospitals encourage their patients to look at gofundme as a way to pay their medicals bills is just absolutely mind-boggling to me. yes, the costs should be crowd-funded–guess what the fuck universal healthcare IS?! billionaires just don’t want a single fraction of a percent of a sliver of a shadow of a penny of their OWN money being a part of that “crowd” fund

  • i work in academia. i don’t even do less than 40, but 4x9 and 1x4. in summer i do 4x10. before i started the job, i never would have imagined how much better life is having that extra day off, or even a half day on fridays. i love it so much, i probably wouldn’t even start looking for another job if they cut my pay by $5K.

my previous position it was the standard 5x8, except we were required to take an unpaid hour for lunch, so it was really 5x9 (9am - 6pm, 5 days/week). i say fuck literally everything about that. they wouldn’t ever even consider making the lunch hour optional, because they want you shackled to the desk an hour later every day.
