I tried a hatch salsa this week. It was $7 but it’s so flavorful. Would recommend. I also got some Whole Foods guacamole with it, so dinner is good this week.

You don’t need to study law to be able to tell that somebody did something heinous or not.
A lot of heinous things aren’t necessarily against the law. For example, there’s an email in the file from a law professor advising him on legally trafficking minors to states with lower ages of consent.

let us see them and decide ourselves if that conclusion is reasonable.
Non-lawyers have zero capacity to do that, though. There’s a big difference between what any one person wants the law to be and what it actually is.

Not one person has been arrested yet after the Epstein files were released?
That’s why the Biden admin didn’t want to release the files. Public scrutiny isn’t helpful to determining whether a charge is legally feasible or not. The government had the files the whole time. Of course, current Trump DOJ is filled with a bunch of new hires with zero training slaving over bogus immigration detainments.
for the average person, it just provides an objectively inferior result to reading the results on google. like I cannot imagine thinking “Wow I really want an incorrect and incomplete response to my query that doesn’t even link me to additional context to fill in the gaps right now”

I definitely wouldn’t care about that personally, but I would just block anyone who is an issue.

I definitely have no interest in content where it’s just conservatives who want to pretend that it’s normal to hate people or whatever. I meant more like, fun memes, earth photography, local events, etc.

This is the best one, but it’s not a replacement. I feel the need to add threads/bluesky to have more “normal” content.

No, the opposition did win an election a few years ago! They performed horribly, but it is in fact a functional democracy. Just one that prefers to function within one party.

oatmeal, rice, beans, tomatoes, spices, broccoli. each of those foods is truly non-negotiable for me and without one life is not worth living. thanks.

A certain amount of wealth concentration is necessary to organize the production and distribution of goods efficiently and invest in research and development, but it’s the competition that drives people to strive for efficiency. Too much wealth concentration produces the opposite result where one person is able to make irrational and inefficient decisions, which negatively impacts everyone below them. See: Elon Musk. If was less wealthy, to the point where he couldn’t afford to fuck up, then he wouldn’t be able to screw over the people beneath him.

It’s really nobody’s else’s business. They could do that for literally nothing.

I hung up signs on the outside of my door reminding me to wash my hands when I got home and on the inside reminding me to wear a mask when I go out.
It’s hard to justify centrism in the context of the US, where one party is radically attacking peoples’ rights and re-writing the constitution to support it.

The therapist needs to have some reason to believe that a person is a threat to you or someone else. One purpose of the law is establishing community standards. Even if a single family all prefer to do nothing about the abuse, the community as a whole does not want to tolerate that kind of behavior in it. So really, it’s not supposed to help. It’s supposed to punish, to try to stop the behavior.

We’re only as strong as our alliances, which the current administration is destroying for really no good reason at all. If our allies abandon us, then we aren’t protected from attack. Not really.
It depends on the fabric. A lot of synthetic clothes are now made to do well in the dryer. But if it’s 100% cotton, it can be permanently ruined in the first dry.

the weather/state of the roads. please make this easy for me, I am scared of you.
Each individual decides that for themselves. Personally I’ve always thrown away the food I don’t want. If I didn’t want it, no way my mom would.
