I just hate the shitty adults and their pointless gossip. Who does it help if you shit on someone’s haircut? No one, Michael. You ass.
Hey!
I’m new to piefed. I was a part of the Reddit migration originally. Since then, I really enjoyed the conversations.
I’m a behavior therapist by day. Otherwise a bit of an introvert/gamer. I’m always up for a conversation. Unless I’m asleep, which is earlier and earlier these days.

Was one of those family annihilator+suicides. He also shot her in the face.
It’s lovely, thank you.
Potato pancakes are heaven.

Well, let me ask you. What do you gain by engaging with this point of view personally?

Hmm. Primarily I used hinge. I had some okay conversations that never went anywhere. There were more conversations that turned gross at what felt like completely random. It didn’t seem like most people were very serious, just passing time or looking for something easy and quick.
The worst part was truly matching, honestly. I couldn’t be less interested in muscle dudes with big trucks. And yet that’s most often what the app offered me to swipe on. The worst two dates I ever went on were directly connected to using dating apps. I would never use them again to meet people. I’ll just rot.
YMMV.

I want to say never. My career is now 2-5 years and I really enjoy helping pick out toys and seeing what they do, and sharing that with my littles. I had a classroom full of toys at one point for different needs. Toys are cool. I like “grown up” shit too like my computer and video games but I will absolutely go into a tree house and slide down a slide or ride that little roller coaster thing we have in the clinic. Not everyone is going to understand in the same way people give side-eye for riding the shopping cart across the parking lot. Like what you like, just be aware those reactions are conditioned into people over a lifetime.

Pet hair is no joke. I haven’t lived with an animal in over a year and I’m still finding their hairs randomly.

I complete maintenance items daily. I live in a small place so I can even mop/vacuum daily if need be. I dust and do deep cleaning once a week as well as laundry. It’s really not time consuming if you stay on top of things (like 15-30 minutes a day). I do not have pets so that helps a lot. I also don’t have a second adult in the home, which helps a lot. Historically I’ve found it’s a lot easier to keep my home clean without multiple adults. I need a nice tidy place to feel comfortable, but I don’t judge anyone else for their choices.
Not really sure if inverted shrimp counts but it’s how I usually end up. That or 9-10.

Have seen it a couple times in a school building, yeah.

Popcorn dresses are back! (Ugh)

I’ve turned into the work mom for the younger ones. Guess it’s all the tattoos and piercings that make me more approachable. I have a collection of young adults. I want scream “I’m not old enough to be your mother yet” except…well, 38. :/

Maybe look into working for a school system/university?

Leaving behind a workplace with a really cushy schedule and commute because I didn’t want my professional license attached to the people and things within that place.

“I think it depends on the environment”.
I like the job I’m doing now at 40 hours. I would not want to do that mind numbing job at 40 hours.
The context is important.

A lot of 9 to 5 jobs are pretty terrible. The worst work I ever had was behind a computer all day (reservations type of gig). It was incredibly mind numbing.
Pizza from the nice place.
