There are more hydrogen atoms in a single molecule of water than there are stars in the entire solar system.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but there are 2 hydrogen atoms in a molecule of water. Do you mean in a drop of water?

Ours is the only Solar system, because our star is named Sol. Other star systems have other names.

The “Sol” name is actually more of a science-fiction, pop-culture thing. It’s just called “the Sun”. “Solar” comes from latin Solaris, meaning “pertaining to the sun”, “sol” itself meaning “sun”.

Well in some languages other than English the sun is actually called “Sol”.

Oh, I believe you. It’s most likely because of the shared Latin root. The comment I was responding to was in English, though.

Maybe not specifically, but I had to double-take and reread it, and it got a laugh out of me. Could indirectly cause a wholesome moment if you tell something like that to someone like me.

        Just a thought <3
