“You may not deport a U.S. citizen, period,” said one legal expert.

What if you deport citizens by mistake and then just throw up your hands? No way to get them back, sorry.

That’s pretty much what he is doing.

If undocumented don’t have due processes, then neither do citizens.

All they have to do is call you an undocumented gang member and you won’t be able to prove otherwise, because there’s no due process.

Except the Constitution does not say that you have to be a citizen to have a trial. And he was documentented. And he specifically wasn’t supposed to go back to El Salvador because of probable persecution. And the government would have known this if they were using anything other than a racist profile of what a gang member might look like as the basis for their actions.

Shitty SCOTUS judge was like “nah, we can let a resident stay in a extra-national slave prison while we figure out if he should have human rights or not”. The mere fact this is a valid opinion should be grounds for immediate removal from the SC.

Fuck you John Roberts. I hope your neighbor gives you the Rand Paul treatment.

why should we stop at people who cross the border illegally?

To every asshole who told me it was “just about protecting our borders”.

That already happened. Last report I heared, at least 75% of the deportees to that prison had clean criminal records.

At this point America might be fine with deporting every Republican senator, representative and member of SCOTUS.

Starting over with a clean slate isn’t a bad thing.

If anything the opposite might happen. If he feels he can get away with it he might deport vocal nuisances like AOC, maybe Bernie and some others. Straight up Putin shit.

My guess is that at first it will be a first or second generation citizen. Someone who grew up in a Spanish speaking household.

And the right wing will spin it as “deporting the anchor baby”.

After the corrupt supreme court erases the 14th amendment, the gloves will come off.

Especially with the firing of the NSA director. The guy who was limiting Peter Theil’s spy company from having unlimited access to data collected on US citizens.

If anyone deserves to wake up on the plane to the El Salvador prison with no way out, it’s Trump

Sounds like a great way to make a whole lot of inmates anti-american if you ask me. I’m sure the violent ones won’t try to escape and become rebels or anything. Surely not.
