Asking for a friend. How the hell can Non Danish/non EU folks help or contribute if or when that friend was a military person in a past career?

If your “friend” does not currently serve for a relevant military, then their battle may be best spent at home for now.

For a US person, the obvious answer would be protesting, reaching out to representatives, and advocating against more unnecessary violence. For non-US, the first two don’t have the same effect, though your country could politically pressure Trump via threats of sanctions or such.

If they request volunteers and your “friend” can do that, then that’s how they can use their experience, assuming they want to of course and understand potential consequences of doing so if their government doesn’t approve of it.

The Inuits do not deserve the usaian bullshit. The world would be a better place if leaders could cry in public without it being considered weakness.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing. And it’s not weakness. It’s humanizing. It’s the alternative model to showy leaders. Being human and vulnerable can be great for rallying support and empathy. It’ll certainly elevate reach of reports about this occurrence.

As long as actions remain firm and decisive, being human does not change those.

For a democratic human system vulnerable humans seem like appropriate leaders. As long as they’re competent and caring for the right things.

I think tears are okay to show. It’s the actions after that define a leader. If she cries but then puts up a good fight and doesn’t back down then I see no problem.

I understand that most people dont see it that way though. So maybe im just weird idk haha

I have nothing against showing emotion, but this isn’t about me…

I believe that Donald Trump is a bully and strength is the only thing that will dissuade him. He’s not a person of empathy who will be moved by a show of human emotions. He’s a wanna-be strongman piece of shit who needs to know that Europe is not going to simply sit back and cry in their pillow while he walks all over them.

Trump is laughing at this response from Greenland. It shows that they are prepared to lose.

But when we have stoic assholes they tend to become dictators. I guess pushovers aren’t great, but the world would be a great place if we all had leaders capable of normal feelings instead of the sociopathic greedy ghouls that rise to the top.

That is the only thing that can happen, you wont “rise to the top” unless you are a sociopathic greedy goul. Of course there are degreees of ghoulishness.
