At my current job, I use AI frequently.

But it’s nowhere near replacing me. It’s like having a 12 year old intern that’s an inexperienced genius.

It’s great for saving me 10 minutes to write out some simple HTML or structured data. But it’s definitely not perfect and tends to add unnecessary changes, I constantly have to review and add new rules.

So I don’t think it’s replacing any humans any time soon, but it has gotten exponentially better over just a few months. So maybe in a few years, I’ll start to worry.

This would always happen right at the start of a long motorcycle ride. Suddenly the music stops and all I can hear is the engine. 30 minutes later and stop and investigate and it’s a pop up warning that the audio level is too loud.

When I was growing up, you had to go to the mall, and purchase the anarchist cook book if you wanted bomb recipes. Or go to the library. You kids got it easy today…

I’m pretty sure that writing something down has been proven to be helpful for retaining the information.

But that study is probably 50 years old, and people learn and retain information differently.

So I wouldn’t be surprised if using a computer to take notes is just as effective as writing it, especially for younger generations.

Seriously, in my experience AI generated results are only actually correct maybe 10% of the time
