Pasta and sauce. As long as you have a few basic herbs and spices on hand (garlic powder, Italian seasonings, salt pepper), you can buy a can of crushed tomatoes, and a box of pasta, and you can have several delicious, filling meals for less than 5 bucks total. Spend a little more and toss in ground beef, ground pork, or mushrooms, or a combination of all three.
Aldi has the ingredients for really cheap. You can even buy a pound of ground pork for only about $3. The spices are only about a buck each.
I’ve noticed that general traffic in the Central Florida area, where traffic is usually among the very worst on the entire East Coast, has been much lighter lately.
We know that cops are profiling people, and pulling over Hispanics for false reasons, so my speculation is that people are staying off the roads except when absolutely necessary.
I also believe that Hispanic parents are telling their kids to stay in the house with their friends, and not go out and drive around. Remember when you were a teen, and would drive all day because at least you were out of the house and away from the parents? If those kids get in some trouble, it could easily find its way back to the parents, and the next thing you know, the entire family is on its way back to Honduras. So parents are warning their kids of the serious consequences of even a minor issue.
I think a lot of people are laying low.
We need to stop referring to modern conservatives as Republicans. The Republican party is as dead as the Whigs. They don’t adhere to ANY of the traditional tenets of the Republican party - smaller government, lower taxes, family values, etc.
The American conservative party is the MAGA Party, and Democratic leadership should hold an official press conference, release official press releases, and make it an official policy, that the Democratic Party no longer recognizes the Republican Party, and will refer to it as the MAGA Party in ALL future communications. The Republicans should only bereferred to in a historical context.
The MAGAs are always prohibiting government workers from using certain words or subjects such as Climate Change, so this is how the Dems can fight back in a similar way.
Republicans have been legislating their corruption for decades. There was talk of recalling Rick Scott, and that’s when everybody found out that the Republican legislature had prohibited recalls back during the Jeb Bush era, so he couldn’t be recalled for his role in the cheating scandal that got his idiot brother elected president.
So when democratically elected Democratic DA Monique Worrell was replaced by a DeSatan operative for no reason, she sued, but it turns out that the governor of FLORIDA can legally do that. So she ran again, her opponent lost in the primary, and easily won her reelection. DeSatan decided not to replace her a second time.
Instead, he had Homeland Security replace the sheriff. He also replaced the leadership of the Kissimmee Police Department over a minor scandal, when an officer was recorded kicking a prisoner in the face. Police have straight up murdered suspects, and the police chief wasn’t removed from office over it.
They haven’t removed any other positions outside of Central Florida. Clearly, the hispanic-dominated central Florida counties of Osceola and Orange are under siege by the MAGA government, and the rest of America doesn’t know it.
Because they will, it’s not a bluff. DeSatan has removed several duly elected Democrats from Central Florida, and replaced them with his own handpicked people. It’s actually become routine at this point. He replaced a popular prosecutor, so she ran again, and won again. DeSatan’s handpicked stooge couldn’t even win reelection in the Republican PRIMARY, and tried to run as an independent. Even Republicans thought it was wrong.
Last month, they arrested the Osceola County sheriff for being involved in a gambling operation that was run in full view of the world. It was registered with the state, all business papers were filed properly, the “casino” was open to the public on the main drag with giant windows. Anyone driving by could see the machines through the windows, and see what it was. Obviously, they all thought they were operating legally.
Then DeSatan and Homeland Security Investigations (ever heard of them before?), swooped in and arrested him, and replaced him with a guy with a long history of immigration enforcement.
The twice elected sheriff that was replaced was Florida’s only Hispanic sheriff in a Democratic stronghold with a 40% Hispanic population, who wasn’t cooperating with ICE. When they arrested him, they kept him in jail for over a week, despite the fact that he had the money for his bond, while they spewed their propaganda, and he couldn’t respond to it.
BTW, when the station took a break from the coverage, gasping in pearl-clutching tones about the “massive $20 million dollar gambling operation,” they went directly to a commercial showing people celebrating how much fun they were having gambling at the local Hard Rock Casino, which runs a multi-billion gambling operation 30 minutes down the road. Within the same commercial break, they also ran an ad for a gambling phone app that can be played anywhere.
But it’s the Democratic, Hispanic sheriff that’s the threat.
And perhaps the worst thing about this absolute assault on democracy and institutional election fraud is that it hasn’t made the national news at all. Florida Democrats serve at the pleasure of the Florida Governor. If he doesn’t like them, he’ll simply replace them with a MAGA, and nobody says a word.
Demmings is a decent guy, and he’s not afraid of anything, so when he says he knows that DeSatan will replace the entire Democratic infrastructure of Central Florida, he’s 100% right. This way he stays in power, where he can still fight down the road.
No they won’t. HitlerPig will fire the head of the Smithsonian, and the new guy will remove it immediately…
…before he starts selling off all of their holdings, and giving the money to HitlerPig.

It sounds like you’d have to replace the whole stack, but that’s only about $15-20 at Home Depot.
There should be some sort of threaded seal around the hole on the bottom of the tank where the water flows in, and the hardware all attaches to that.
I’ve never seen anything like your situation, you might need a plumber to sort that out.
Maybe try a different model. I’ve got a simple one from Amazon that was only about $30. Now that yours is already installed on the tank, it should be easy to swap out a new one.
It attaches to the float mechanism, so it’s pretty easy to install. Only about 15 minutes, and the results are so worth it.
It would be worth it even if you had to pay a plumber to install it. Now that I’ve lived with one, I’d pay $200 to have one installed.
I’m not a big fan either (a few exceptions), but this is definitely his best performance. He’s The Duke all the way, but it is a character that he nearly invented, so he’s perfect in it.
