100% no doubt The parable of the sower and subsequent book. I read that book - started reading it - in June this year and read it over about a month. It was very creepy to be reading a sci fy book set in the future that is now my present and while it is not as bad right now as Octavia Butler makes it out to be, we are definitely heading there if drastic action is not taken immediately.

That “cloud to chip” stuff seems to be marketing bs to me, possibly a tpm like chip that can only be used by Azure services? Not a mac user so I can’t be sure, but if windows removed this ability a ton of software from random github projects or self compiled software would become useless. DON’T THEY KNOW THAT? They can’t possibly think, the people running apps like that will get a developer subscription just to run that one random app they use.
