A squolar, if you will

I’ve resorted to a rewatch of shows prior to their new season launch. Wheel of Time is one such show I’ve done this with; also Arcane - there’s so much to follow and my brain tends to just lose details over time for shows. I’ll be watching Severance season one again soon.

Yeah I seriously was considering one plus back in the day when they still had a jack (flagships). Was not impressed when they dropped that… And my memory, while bad - seems to recall that they said they weren’t going to remove it at one point.

I’ve had one supervisor in a large enterprise company make less than me - and they were damn good at their job. I was also told at another job I applied for (different firm) that I couldn’t realistically request to make more than the manager.

I picture this as Tom Cruise from tropic thunder. That’s his bad guy persona.

I’ve found that while Bluetooth works well enough, my admittedly cheap Bluetooth mouse has an ever so slight lag to it. I only use it when out in the field working but it’s disconcerting to say the least.

I like USB C - mostly. If only Logitech would actually create a tiny usb-c unifying receiver…

As someone who owned a car without AC for several summers, I’d say you’re incorrect on that assumption. In fact, this is something you can try in the summer time with any car with AC. After a hot day in the sun, go drive around without the AC on and just the fans on and windows down. How do you feel? Then kick on the AC (leaving the driver’s window down, stimulating running a route delivering to mailboxes.). You’re telling me there is NO difference in feel without cool air blowing at your body?

I’m not putting the calculations of how many more dinosaurs will be used to in this, I’m merely focusing on the carrier being a little more comfortable during their drive.

There is a small relief provided by blowing the cooled dehumidified air over the warm sweating body using the dash vents. This would give the person a chance for their body to better perform the evaporative cooling process even if the cabin can’t stay at a constant lower temperature. I’d argue doing something to help with the comfort of the carrier is better than a vehicle without AC - and understandable it’s worse for the environment because of the waste heat generated in the process.

Given the details here, it initially sounds like you’ll have issues getting your wife over to the UK because… Checks notes… She’s a librarian lol

I could understand if you were buying a pay-as-you-go phone on the cheap… but this is an iPhone you’re talking about. What’s the minimum, $799? I think they can afford to toss a cable your way if you need one.

I never knew Microsoft even had support. Was part of a very large (worldwide) enterprise and remember the other teams complaining about lack of anything when trying to escalate issues.

All the people in my development that had them up still have the signs from 2020 going strong… It’s still pretty split from talking with neighbors. One person near me is in business selling heavy equipment and they’re looking forward to trump because they feel they sell more equipment when republicans are in office. I guess that’s a viewpoint… For sure.

I don’t disagree for sure, but at some point the price will become more competitive as other companies see dollar signs…

48v 100ah battery with Bluetooth BMS built in is around 700$ on ali express… Slightly more direct from Amazon in the USA if you want it fast. Will store close to 5kwh which I guarantee you beats out this solution. Of course you’d still need to buy the grid sync inverter (available in many places) as well as a solar mppt charger and solar cells. Still will come below this cost - or you’ll simply blow by the capacity of what you would have paid for this solution. But gotta have the old noggin on straight to do it yourself.

Worked at McDonald’s. Many many eons ago. Used to open on the weekends for them. That meant I had to change the grease out of the fryer vets. The management there only gave us a quarter per hour for break, so during my dumping of the oil I would swipe a few of those burritos and jam on them in the back. Very fond memories of those.
