Lol why would Google pay billions for something that “promotes competition”? That’s literally a lose-lose move. Shit suits say.
We’ve taken away this thing you’ve bought, here’s a gift card so you can give us that money back again later.
No one owns Lemmy, no one can appropriate it and say where on the political spectrum it lies, or gatekeep. That’s the whole point of decentralization. Stop trying to do it.
Lmao I was about to look into using that thing for work
Forgive my ignorance, but isn’t the point of reusing plastic to prevent or reduce plastic waste and contamination? Not necessarily carbon itself.

How does me thinking it’s more sustainable to work fewer hours per day instead of more make me out to be a greedy businessman? I didn’t even propose working more days, just fewer hours.
I mean yeah, that could absolutely work. My point isn’t so much about the total amount of hours or days, just that it’s not worth piling up too many hours just to work fewer days.
That’s admittedly a great point. I think my record was either 12 or 16 hours a day, but it’s incredibly exceptional. Anything above 8 hours of actual, productive work is the result of high enjoyment and focus or a deadline panic mode that’s not sustainable. I think setting 6 hours as a baseline and being able to tweak from there would be ideal, but setting an expectation of over 8 hours as a tradeoff for fewer days is harmful imo.
This is not the way, it’s better to work less hours per day than working more hours and fewer days. Productivity peaks at 6 hours, after that you’re either less focused or just doing unproductive things. It’s also gonna burn out harder.
tbf there’s plenty of porn on former Twitter too
I should look into it. Truth be told, there’s no pure capitalism or socialism. It’s really a bunch of economic sliders different countries balance more towards one side or the other throughout history. What I meant to say is A) systems that lean enough towards capitalism are the more successful even if they’re far from perfect and B) The way people throw around the “capitalism bad” idea just like that doesn’t help in any way and I’m tired of it. It’s a mix of raw frustration and copypasting of ideas without any real substance.

Cool story, bro
I just hope Armored Core 6 gets the same amount of love Elden Ring did this 24th.
So what’s the best one then? Communism/ socialism didn’t do very hot either. Unless there’s been some obscure, ancient economic system that I’m not aware of, there hasn’t been a non-theoretical economic system that’s been better than capitalism yet, as flawed as it is.
I get there’s abundant evidence of the issues of the current system and the degenerate strategies it allows, but “capitalism bad haha” is getting stale.
I believe it should be A. People aren’t moving, and the portal doesn’t carry momentum. At most people would be appearing on the other side with very little delay between eachother resulting in the most recently teleported person violently pushing away the last one.
