The irony of the use of the qualifier “usually” is not lost on me.

It’s a prerequisite for employment. Some jobs require a college degree. Some jobs require a certain amount of experience in the field. Some jobs require that you have not tried to overthrow the government.

There’s no need to be humane since the people they’re scooping up aren’t even humans, right?

Could be a lot of things. Could be a tourist visa, student visa, H1B, green card, probably a mess of other things I’m not aware of. Some kind of “You’re not a citizen, but it’s legal for you to be in the United States” paperwork.

I’d expect that the 18 year old is probably attached to her parents’ status.

Legal status. Which I am sure they’re talking about revoking because she’s been “charged with a crime.”

That is the plan. Even for people who are in the US legally, just charge them with a crime, and that legal status can be pulled and they can be deported. Maybe even to Gitmo in the near future.

This is a valid question. Right now, we don’t know. We should withhold judgment until after an investigation is completed.

I’m sure they’re already busy writing the summary of that investigation which shows that Trump’s firings had nothing to do with it.

There will be many Trump voters that were misinformed that want to resist, we must welcome the support.

There must be a path to redemption. It’s there for anyone who wants to take it.

To get through this and move forward positively, we must look past grievances and work together.

While this is true, that path to redemption has to be taken first. Until then, my grievances stand firm.

Fascists control the US federal government, and many state governments. There will be violence. The only questions are who starts it, when, how much, and who wins.
