Poor USA, forced to be an empire
“If you were able to overlook a genocide and cast a vote for Harris, you already know how a conservative was able to overlook Trump’s extremism and vote for him.” – Historian Robin D.G. Kelley
Poor USA, forced to be an empire
What a weird response. I was addressing your comment. You didn’t mention Palestine -all of it is Palestine FYI, Israel is just another Crusader state- and Crimea should be returned to the Crimean Tatars, both Slavic peoples are invaders.
But no, you would rather play the Sinophobia and Yellow Perilism card and assume that I receive Xi bucks. What a day! I didn’t mention my own country’s border disputes with its neighbors either! Didn’t see it necessary to educate you on the matter.
HK was handed back to PRC in 1997, there was a ceremony and everything. Just because it was stolen by the British for sometime doesn’t mean it isn’t Chinese. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handover_of_Hong_Kong
A border dispute between Bhutan and China isn’t something exceptional, Wikipedia has a list of border disputes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_disputes your country might have some of its own
True. This is how it is with [Arabian|Persian] Gulf.
And it’s a waste of money to have to replace all the maps and books with updated names.
Who prints the books? They probably made a big contribution to Trump
HK and Tibet are part of China in all maps. Did you mean Taiwan?
The US gets an unsinkable aircraft off the coast of PRC, while Taiwan assumes all the risks of a war with PRC. If anything the US should show some respects to its allies instead of treating them like disposable pawns.
Trump is just adhering to US policy.
Only if the maps will be accessed from the US or sold in the US, and only for the US. This is my understanding of it anyways, the coming days will reveal more
The rest of the world obviously will not follow suit, but foreign companies selling maps in the US will have to comply, so it is just another exception that need to be handled. Naming and boundary disputes between countries have existed for years, and map makers just make enough versions to satisfy every country.

Is that a thing? I know China’s research sector is large and growing, but I never heard of it attracting foreigners.
They offer very competitive salaries, if I knew Chinese and was 10-15 years younger I would have considered it.
Protectionism [and Galapagosization] killed the Japanese smartphone industry.
Exactly. Just look at Intel and the CHIPS Act.
People here forgot that Xi personally writes for Fortune
As effective as they were in pushing Biden left
Yes. Blood thicker than water. I have family that I dislike I will still attend weddings and funerals and I will still be there for them.
Why did the Democrats fall for it though?
I wouldn’t buy a Tesla even if Elon wasn’t a Nazi and a Zionist.
