I don’t think this person was a “fuckwit”. AI is designed to keep engaging with you and will affirm any belief you have, and anything that is a little weird, but innocent otherwise will simply get amplified further and further into straight up mega delusions until the person has a psychotic episode, and this stuff happens more to NORMIES with no historic of mental illnesses than neurodivergent people.
In every other case of AI bots doing this, the bot will always affirm whatever the person says to it. So if they say something a little weird, the AI will confirm it and feed it further. This happens every time. The bots are pretty much designed to keep talking to the person, so they’re essentially sycophantic by design.
Here’s the thing, it’s usually normies with no history of mental illness that fall into this kind of stuff. Most of my friends and people I follow on social media who are neurodivergent did experiment with chatbots and they saw a fuckton of red flags on the manner they work and alerted everyone about it, if they didn’t hate it already for essentially stealing artistic output (which in my case was both). Regular people don’t usually identify this trap cause they don’t have the experience.
As a neurodivergent person, i’ve noticed that the people who usually fall into AI psychosis are normies who never had any history of mental illnesses. They don’t know the safeguards that people who ARE vulnerable to having a mental breakdown put on themselves to avoid such thing from happening and they can spot red flags that usually spiral into a psychotic episode, and that’s why it’s so insanely easy for regular people to fall for the traps of chatbots. Most people I know/follow in other socials who are neurodivergent instantly saw the ADHD sycophant trap that they were and warned everyone. Normies never had such luxury or told us we were overreacting. Yeah, we sure were…
Back when I played Call of Duty Ghosts, I was kinda obsessed with Salamence thanks to using a Salamence during my first playthrough of any Pokémon game ever, that being Pokémon Sapphire on an emulator. So I made that my username. But I also got angry on that game a LOT, so I extended it to RagingSalamence. But then people started calling me Raging so I kinda disliked that and inverted it to SalamenceFury. Around the time I also started participating on the pokémon askblog community on Tumblr, so I made a pokémon sona to go with all of that, and changed my internet alias to be Sal.
Still going with this username and the previous iteration since then, but also sometimes I go with “DraconicSalad”.
I’m being hyperbolic, but I do think every CEO of every company in America worth hundreds of billions should be arrested, have their companies broken up, and said CEOs sent to Supermax prisons for mass fraud.
If America was a serious country they would break up Amazon for this AND arrest Bezos and send him to a random Supermax for corporate blackmail, mass fraud, and unfair competition. But I fear they never were.

Messaging your reps actually works, though. If enough people flood the lines, the information will be passed to the rep and they don’t usually feel good about it. It can actually change their voting - if you look on Bluesky you’ll see various campaigns of line flooding that HAVE yielded results.
Your post is extremely suspicious because it feels like you’re actively trying to undermine and depress the voter into not doing something effective for some nefarious reason. No one without ulterior motives has ever tried to say calling or messaging your reps does nothing.

Did you not read the Twitter thread? The facial verification is done by OpenAI and shared with Palantir, the DOJ, and ICE. Yes, including Roblox’s. What makes you think the DOJ would NOT try to build a profile on someone going through age verification who’s brown enough to be considered an “illegal” and possibly detain or deport them if they criticize ICE?
Because those parents are pushing for age verification stuff, that has already been confirmed by hackers to be sent straight to the DOJ and ICE to make a database and link people’s internet profiles to their real names. With possibly the intention to either arrest people for criticizing ICE, or deporting people they DEEM to be illegals.

That could work but I dunno if Roblox would even want to put on the effort (given that they banned a man exposing pedophiles in the platform), and also having moderators means they ARE a point of failure since there could be a groomer amongst them who just happens to not have criminal records. However, trying to childproof the internet in response to things like this is beyond stupid.

I think the point he’s trying to make is that parents are not teaching kids to be safe in the internet and instead are asking for daddy government to do their parenting for them, without being aware that what they’re doing is signing away the rights of LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE to criticize the government in the future without getting put on a fucking list (Discord’s age verification literally sends your info to Palantir and Peter Thiel and profiles the person, especially if they’re avid Trump or ICE critics). There were plenty of platforms for kids back in the day, they all had this problem (somewhat), but it was nowhere near as concerning as before because the kids in the 2000’s were warned multiple times by their parents to exercise caution when using the internet.
I’ve heard about gringos saying all of this about Brazil forcing age verification, but I literally cannot find any article in any Brazilian news website talking about this. So either this entire thing is a hallucination or someone got the wrong info.
