My gaming PC takes 250w while gaming, my diy mini pc daily driver desktop takes 40w while working, my mini pc server running proxmox takes about 15w on average. The difference is over 10x in my case.
I absolutely love my fold 5! I read alot on my phone, and always having what is basically a tablet on you at all times is awesome for that. I do everything on the large screen, other than maybe a quick check of the lockscreen for notifications.
This is what fixed my ubuntu audio stuttering too
Ah, the home version is so limited that I basically just didn’t even consider it an option. I guess if someone buys that version, then yeah thats not an option.
Never understood why that batch script even became popular… its so much easier to just choose install for an organization, then just never domain join it. Makes a local account, and is much easier
You keep spamming this video when all it does is tell people you have never bought a low-end tv in your life. A good chunk of TVs do not have any kind of built-in casting or screen mirroring, which is what the chromecast product line is for.
I’m pretty sure Revolt doesn’t have audio chat in any form, or has that changed recently?
While I believe you can at least make voice rooms with element/matrix
And how many times the cost of renewables are the required batteries to make it not nearly useless? More than 2x, that’s for sure. Nuclear is the clear choice for base load and renewables for loads above that.
Same here. XNG isn’t pronouncable in english, so it will always be Seer X N G for me
Agreed, but it is so incredibly geography dependant that you can’t really generalize with it.
Yes, but they are unreliable. Nuclear is an amazing option for base loads, and then adding renewables on top of that just makes sense. Battery energy storage is still insanely expensive, so nuclear is a very valid alternative in countries that haven’t let their nuclear production capabilities fall off to the point of taking decades.
You know I keep hearing people say they mostly use the small screen on their fold, but since i got mine the small screen has been for notification only, and when I want to actually use my phone the inner screen is just better. So like 99% inner screen for me.
I am connected to their US-East server, with a latency often around 70. Not really sure where that datacenter is, but I am in southern Ontario, Canada. We often get put onto servers in New York or around there.
I pay for and use kagi, but it is one of the slowest websites I use, so I am not really sure what this comment is referencing? Is it fast for others?
That is already happening in Canada. Those imperialists threatening annexation was finally what brought us Canadians together on something lol
I will admit its a bit complicated to setup (mostly because the documentation could use some work) but it does work great once you have the sync server setup and your plugin configured
There is also the Obsidian Selfhosted Livesync community plugin that will sync with your own sync server. As the name suggests, it syncs live, so you can even see typing from one device appear on another. It’s pretty neat
Look for cars from around 2018. Thats when android auto and car play started being common, but spyware and constant internet connectivity wasn’t quite yet.
You underestimate how much professional work is done via the web browser and RDP these days. I am a Cloud Engineer (basically do virtualization work) and could easily get by using a phone as my main work system. Most of the time I am using MS office apps that are basically just wrappers for their web versions anyways, and on a VPN connected to some server. All doable from samsung dex already, I just dont use it because multi monitor is important to my work flow
