Oh trust me there are plenty more that are elsewhere too
Oh trust me there are plenty more that are elsewhere too
Honestly both
All of the bad shit of late capitalism and cyberpunk, with none of the cool stuff
Libraries are good, and a great community resource that should be treasured. However, no library can have the sheer volume of information available that YouTube and the Internet do. There is also the benefit of having more kinds of content, plus the ease of putting information out there.
For example, say I want to learn about the specifics of the defense economics of the war in Ukraine. Sure, I could wait 15 years for books to be published about it, hope my local library buys it, and then go and read it. Or I could log on to YouTube right now and go watch the latest Perun video on it which is also more entertaining. This also is an example of speed of new information being available on current events.
Both of these things have their strengths and weaknesses but it is simply a fact that YouTube has changed the availability of information to quite a high degree.
Yea that sounds right. It works quite well for most things, just specifically helldivers and/or it’s anticheat absolutely hates it. On lowest settings I get like 30-40fps depending on how much I upscale with freezes every 10 seconds lasting .5-1 seconds. Simply unplayable, so I’ve gone back to using my 1080ti in my pc
I have a precision 3571 and it’s pretty solid, I’ve been using it as my main gaming computer because it’s better than my old PC, it does have a few drawbacks tho.
Pros:
Cons:
I mean, he does show the final product pretty early on. Plus as others said, the video (and most of the channel) is about how and why it works, which to me is much more interesting than the 4 second clip.
Idk, but I have the same. Scrolling through the tracking methods the only ones with high uniqueness were hash of canvas fingerprint and hash of webGL for me. According to it I still have strong protection Firefox + ublock on mobile though
No problem I assumed it was the other one because I was looking in their comment history for comments with downvotes
As in the one you replied to? That one is +9, -0 So people either changed votes or there was weird federation things going on
I use voyager which lets me toggle what I see (I actually switched to individual recently) and the comment I assume you’re talking about is at +19, -9 votes, and was about the kid who shot the home intruder
There are lots of down votes on both sides of that thread tho
(Also subtle voyager plug)
Took em long enough
Iirc they’re ok but not amazing, proprietary and mostly good because they aren’t Google or Bing.
Thanks for finding the actual statistics. My initial feeling was that there are too many ways to interpret what the article was saying, and playing silly buggers with the statistics.
Yeah, though I think currently only emissions cutting should be implemented, mostly because damage reversing tech like DAC take green energy that could otherwise be used to more effectively cut emissions elsewhere. Once we start getting excess green energy to do such things, then it should be implemented. It should still be researched and developed now tho
Yep, for literally anything in space or aerospace he is my go-to. I also like Angela Collier for physics, she makes great content.
I think because simpleX is more open source, self-hosted, and maybe slightly more anonymous. Not sure how the usability trades off for that if at all because I haven’t used it (I mainly use signal and discord)
It also doesn’t seem to be a mass migration by any means, just that simpleX is a bit better if you are super hardcore about your privacy.
Where do you find that menu? I can’t find it on my end
Sure, it still happens regardless, it just makes it easier and more likely to happen.
Exactly, there’s already plenty. I do my best to scroll as fast as possible and not interact, it will be unfortunate if this makes it worse tho
To be fair they did explicitly say that this report includes no data from 2025.
