flapjacks
What would you call flapjacks if flapjacks refers to pancakes?
Spent far too long thinking how annoying that guys hair cut is.
The r/Unitedkingdom subreddit seems to be in the process of being taken over. Constant posts about crimes that brown immigrants commit with the same type of comments. It seems like one half of the sub notice and keep calling it out but another cohort keep posting and commenting anti immigration rhetoric. Said posts get upvoted very quickly too.
It’s a stark contrast to how it was 5 or 10 years ago.
Teabag
Boiling water
Leave a for a couple of minutes

Kids distract me so I never end up drinking it
I’m having it done tomorrow, good to hear it was straightforward and relatively painless!
That’s why I like my instance, the admins are great and we have the same mindset of federation: let the users decide who they want to block and only defederate from a instance if they’re hugely problematic or doing something illegal.
I think lemmy.ml is federated with lemmygrad right? I never see their stuff either, it’s probably such a small instance that it kinda gets lost from the activity of the bigger and more popular communities.
The beauty is that you can just block the annoying instances. I’ve blocked lemmy.ml so I don’t see their communities, but can still see their users commenting on posts.
Everyone strives for 5 9s, but musk aims for two 8s.
Software engineer. £75k a year, plus bonuses - last year got £13k (pre-tax) which was nice. Based in the north of England.
There’s a great podcast called “The Lazarus Heist” that goes into North Korea’s activities in stealing huge sums of money. Well worth a listen.
It’s baffling to me. Maybe I’m just used to using “modern” frameworks, but the only way this could be an issue is if you literally check if the string value equals “null” and then replace it with a null value.
lastName = lastName.ToUpper() == "NULL" ? null : lastName;
Either that or the database has some bug where it’s converting a string value of “null” into a null
.

He’s innocent until proven guilty. But there does seem to be a strong case that he did kill him.
4️⃣ Installing White House Liaisons in All Regulatory Agencies ✅ A “White House Liaison” will be placed in every independent agency.
Just like how the soviets would have a “political” officer that would report everything back to the KGB to keep everyone in line.
It sounds a bit like Auditory Processing Disorder - pretty sure I’ve got this. Something I really struggle with is are lyrics in songs, I can hear that there’s words but I can’t understand them unless I were to stop what I was doing and really focus. To me, the sounds and pitches of the voices are basically just another sound.
i’ve even received them as gifts (very expensive ones) but i just threw it in the trash
Wouldn’t it have been better to tell the gift giver that you’re really happy that they thought if you, but for security/moral reasons you don’t want to install it? At least they could have returned it and got their money back.
As a British, this is initially how I understood the question. We call “sneakers” trainers.
They banned people from all communities on their instance, not just political ones.
I assume you’re talking about Lemmy world? They didn’t ban all socialists from all instances as that’s impossible. They defederated from hexbear and lemmygrad because they saw how toxic their userbase was. They’re still federated with lemmy.ml because their users behave normally.
Credit cards offer protection over debit cards. After all, it’s the banks money if something fraudulent happens on a transaction, not yours. I always use my credit card over my debit card mainly for this reason.
Some credit cards offer cash back or rewards which build up when you spend.
I have a direct debit set up to pay off the balance at the end of the month so it just automatically pays itself off.
