It’s funny how much more favorable the comments are on this compared donnie’s original comments.
Canadians on joining the US: “oh hell no!”
Americans on joining Canada: “me too please!”
Greenland, even though Denmark is blue.
A game with “500+ M downloads” on google play, plus like a dozen other platforms it’s on.
If 0.001% of among us players became CEO assassins, I don’t think we’d have any CEOs left.
And they’re guaranteeing this super affordable public housing all while under a comprehensive trade embargo for 60+ years imposed by the most powerful nation there is, who also happens to be their neighbor.
Never believe that housing “needs” to be expensive, it’s 100% a decision made by people who profit from it.
especially the “investors”
There was this study where they asked a theater full of women to rate the attractiveness of men, based on a photo and a profession. Then they changed all the professions (but kept the same photos) and did it again.
The same picture with a higher-paying job was rated significantly higher.
Teslas are so bad for this, that whole “all the controls are on a big ipad” setup should be illegal.
I didn’t read too far, but,
To restrict car manufacturers and other companies from selling consumer car-related data, increase transparency regarding data practices, and for other purposes.
already skips over collecting the data, so yeah. I would guess this bill just exists for the optics, and isn’t actually intended to challenge the industry.
Oh yeah, kind of like how fans re-edited One Piece to remove filler and improve the pacing. I wonder if something similar could be done to merge the two FMAs? Unfortunately I think most of the fanbase just thinks Brotherhood is it, and the original doesn’t matter, so I don’t know think there’s much demand for this.
This is what I did, would also recommend. I don’t even think Brotherhood is better, the original has some really strong points.
Oooh I’ve been eagerly awaiting season 2 of Arcane. Hadn’t seen the release date yet. Excited now. 😸
I’ve been wanting to re-watch firefly lately. It’s short but there’s just so much in it. It’s one of two shows I’ve watched start-to-finish more than once.
And since we’re here for recommendations…the other show I’ve watched more than once is Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Based on a book by Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) it’s charming and insane in ways you might expect if you’re familiar with Hitchhiker’s Guide but it’s absolutely not predictable either. So much fun. (Available on Netflix (in Canada…last I checked))
Every accusation is a confession…
Suddenly it makes sense why they’re so terrified of anyone outside the gender binary.
I can’t trust a car no matter how Japanese it is, but… I watched a lil docuseries on dangerous roads, and it seemed like at least 80% of the vehicles (outside of heavy trucks) were Toyota. I dunno if it’s because they’re the most reliable, or because Toyota just has the market in many of these developing countries, but it was interesting.
One time they told me I had 3 days left to enjoy YouTube with my ad blocker, and then I would have to buy premium, or they would just lock me out of the site. I was like “welp, it had a good run, I guess that’s it for ol’ YouTube.”
But then the 3 days went buy and nothing ever came of it.
That tactic probably did get them some preemptive subscriptions though, unfortunately.
Zoom lenses are great, unfortunately most phones only have wide angle lenses.
There’s literally been corrupt sheriff’s caught ordering military hardware like a 50cal machine gun designed to be fitted on a helicopter…
I think this is (a particularly stark example of) the core problem here. The people who are supposed to be the ones protecting the rest of us from these right wing nutjobs are, well…right wing nutjobs.
If voting could dethrone the wealthy, they wouldn’t let us do it.
