Yeah, it’s buggy as hell every time I’ve tried it. Lots of random bugs that were open for a long time. Also not open source so I realize that doesn’t matter to everyone but for me it does especially for a browser.

There’s part of it but also anecdotally a lot of us are aware that alcohol in pretty much any quality has negative effects and therefore don’t drink at all. There’s a lot less pressure to drink than in expect there was for other generations, it’s pretty normal for me to meet other people who prefer not to drink.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone have any advice for young adults that are struggling in life?English
2·11 days agoAs a fellow young adult who feels like they’re still figuring out wtf is going on I’ve found having outlets is good. It’s certainly not as easy to have free time where you have the mental energy to engage with something even if you want to but spending time and commiserating with others or doing a hobby very casually is good. I definitely struggle with letting some of my hobbies that I used to be extremely competitive/highly skilled at decrease in importance and having my ability reduced slightly. I don’t think there’s really a 1 size fits all answer.
500k? Dang that’s a bargain!

201·26 days agoDude I keep seeing all of you people bloviating this nonsense. It’s very easy to just tell people “oh yeah just go kill people and risk your life.” And then everyone applauds and upvotes. It’s not about “living in delusion” it’s about how genuinely difficult it is to tell people to just go to war. It’s easy to just armchair this and I keep seeing it all over Lemmy but dude I haven’t even made it a quarter of my life yet, and most of my true cognizant semi adult life has been absolute dogshit. And now suddenly people who don’t live here are telling me to just go die. That’s scary as hell man. I wish people would think before they just type this shit everywhere.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it true that being short gives me a brutal advantage of exploiting particular vulnerability of a tall opponent's belly in case of a fight?English
3·27 days agoIf we’re talking fencing maybe? Sure? I wouldn’t know I’ve not trained fencing. You’d know better than I. If we’re talking actual combat where I’ve trained a tiny bit with the sword and staff, I mean there’s just ways around that. Where I hold my sword or staff or whatever has little bearing on my defensive range. You’re just assuming you’re much faster than me because I’m guessing that’s what fencing is more about. But that’s with something extremely light and flexible. If where you held your weapon was all that was too it people would have been much less inclined to use say a giant battle axe. Also an actual fight ends quickly id never risk being inside your weapon range unless I knew I had a good shot. There’s no constraint on me attacking first or having to attack you a specific way.

3·27 days agoWho’s to say they can’t dodge you as well? If they’ve got a reach advantage already tall doesn’t necessarily equal slow. If you’ve got a sword and I’ve got a spear as long as I keep my distance you can dodge a lot but you’ll be hard pressed to hit me unless you get inside my range.
