Toyota at least has an opt-out website. (Or at least in the US they do). You lose the ability to do stuff like remote start from your phone though. And emergency roadside service, blah blah blah. I turned off all the mapping saved route stuff immediately that let you see your previous trip average miles/KW and then turned off everything once they wanted me to pay a monthly fee for remote start and such.

  • These are a bit unique from the lists everyone else has, I think:

    • Lemmy Keyboard Navigation (like the kbd shortcuts from RES)
    • Google Popup Blocker (stop the annoying log in with Google popups everywhere on the web)
    • OneTab (this one lets you collapse a whole window of tabs down into a list in the OneTab tab that you can later reexpand into a window again when you re-attack whatever subject all the tabs were about)

These are the more standard ones that everyone seems to run:

    • UBlock Origin
    • Reddit Enhancement Suite
    • 2FAS Extension
    • BitWarden

  • Yes, and I voted for Bernie when he ran and I would absolutely vote for AOC if/when she does run. Just… the choices in this election cycle are wanna-be, half-demented dictator-for-life vs a “moderate” Democrat who, while he’s gotten a surprising amount done, isn’t exactly renowned for pushing the corporations hard on climate change.
