i am in cybersecurity and IT. i saw a huge cyber attack on Bluetooth-enabled devices at an event a while back, and it put several people with Bluetooth-enabled insulin pumps in the hospital.
i recently discovered that a good friend of mine has an insulin pump. i am legitimately worried about her safety as a result, and even more so after seeing this.
i also do not like this :D
i feel this, i totally forget to update my libraries haha
hell yeah, that’s what i like to see. also, same: if you need help when we’re in the camps, hit me up
anecdotally: given the number of people I’ve met who were both neurodivergent and absolutely adore trains, this seems incredibly likely.
not to mention many of those same people are just the type to have 200TB of music and a whole radio station in their backpack.
i’m getting reddit vibes, that makes sense. classic enshittification
thank you for the explainer, this is very interesting. seems reddit is following along this path lol
also, a good music player is nice! not having the hassle of using a phone while driving or doing literally anything else is nice for listening to music and the like.
i usually suck at homework but i think i might understand this assignment :3
was Quora ever good? I joined the internet in like 2019 and it’s always been garbage to me, did I miss its golden age?
i absolutely despise the Reddit app even on my cutting edge Android hardware. it sucks, it’s laggy and poorly designed - I can’t imagine the experience on a mid or lower-end phone
same! just hopped on today, for both that reason and because friends are here now as well :)
i always found this to be upsetting as an IT tech at a former company - when a network or server had an issue and i was sent to resolve it, it was a “just reboot it” fix, which never kept the problem from recurring and bringing the server down at 07:00 the next Monday.
the limitations on the questions i could ask hurt that SLA more than any network switch’s memory leak ever did, and i felt as if my expertise meant nothing as a result.
