  • Solar and sodium batteries will be the only new additions to energy production.

China will be the main superpower, US and Europe to follow, India being where China was 10 years ago.

African countries will be in a shitstorm because of climate change and following refugees.

EU and US will have changed to nationalist shitholes relying on mass surveillance going on, with unemployment rising.

We’ll probably see a few revolutions fail as the powers that be will economically strangle any revolution against their interest, anywhere.

Late 30s I see capitalism fail as purchase power fall due to automation. We might see a transition where slaves become globally cheaper than robots or towards an extremely service oriented economy.

And flying cars will be a thing at least for going from home to your private jet.

  • If we are to abolish intellectual property, we might as well abolish all property (including land, patents and money as well

    That’s a bit messy.

Patents are IP, with the caveat that they usually protect corporation over inventors.

Money is a medium for measuring transactions. Hoarding it is very much like having people owing you a service.

Land is more complex and needs for a society to clarify “property” first : property because of use or property in a more abstract way allowing others to use it for your benefit. This also implies a split between single-person usage (t’is my plot for I toil it for my family) and a more common use (10 persons toil the field which provides enough for 20).
