Wait…what?!
Wait…what?!
I’m curious why you pirate movies but not music. Seems an odd line to draw?
Ironically enough I do the reverse. I pay for Netflix and pirate music. My reasoning is there are some Netflix programs that are hard to find on the high seas. (Asian films) If they were easy to pirate I would not pay a cent.
I also noticed redoing a search sometimes yields different results despite using the exact same keywords.
Everything that Zucc and Musk touch end up bad.
I’m testing removing Google from my life for some time now.
The word “No” is such a life-changer and it’s definitely something I learned to apply only recently. I grew up being told to be obedient. Parents demanded it and school enforced it. It made me into a people pleaser and it sucked having to do things that I did not enjoy simply because it was what was expected of me.
I’m still struggling with No but I’ve been trying everyday to keep saying No to things I don’t particularly like.
I love it when companies are too stubborn to update their costs despite the necessity changing over the years.
My previous employment kept buying microsoft office license keys despite us already moving to 365. They probably did it out of habit when buying new computers. Needless to say I have a cardstack of license keys at home lol. Granted it’s for Office 2013 but I don’t really need the latest version for basic document processing.
Proud to be part of that 47%
I can’t believe this wasn’t an Onion piece. Lol.
For me, the best way to quit bad habits is to find alternative hobbies. Try something new. Join a local group.
“What do you mean you’re happy with getting socks for Christmas?!”
I’m annoyed you still can’t do annotations with Teams.
Cloned him by using his Mojo.
That or the magic of scene blocking and editing.
Maybe the reason we haven’t found extraterrestrial life is because they, too, as a civilization have failed to stop itself from self-destruction.
Perhaps this is the bitter and paradoxical nature of life. The struggle to exist but is doomed to go extinct.
I know it’s not what you’re asking for but have you tried to encourage your circle to leave Facebook?
I feel these alternative clients are only temporary until Meta decides to do something that ends up breaking these apps.
Is the free tier truly free? The saying, “if a product is free, you are the product” comes to mind.
My only gripe with Windows 11 is how it constantly puts in crap I don’t like without my permission and I’ll have to spend time to remove it.
Other than that and the incoherent UI philosophy, the OS is pretty smooth.
We’re truly in a dystopian future when big tech nerds are doing mafia hits. Reminds me of that guy in Better Call Saul that hired Mike as a bodyguard.
