I had to look it up and apparently it’s “mencurahkan garam ke laut” a.k.a. “bringing salt to the sea” (Indonesian)
True, but by their very nature their generations tend to create anonymous identities, and the sheer amount of them would make it harder for investigators to detect pictures of real, human victims (which can also include indicators of crime location.
A problem that I see getting brought up is that generated AI images makes it harder to notice photos of actual victims, making it harder to locate and save them
Not to mention that it’s hard to intuitively watch longterm videos on TikTok. Once you swipe a video, it’s gone, unless you save it on favorites, and it’s not easy to get back to the video, either. At least on YouTube, it’s easier to go back to the paused video from the homepage.
It’s been trending since COVID
For what? In a literal, empirical sense, no, you can’t. But there could be underlying motives that can be addressed through alternative means
I was in a contemporary fine art market and I just hear visitors mentioning about owning a hotel in such a casual way, like how one would talk about owning a car.
Not American; is this something that you come across offline too? Since I mostly see this online, and the behavior that you described are rewarded more since social media companies get more money from it.
Not a smoker but where I live, smoking is a social lubricant for men (and there’s even Big Tobacco). Nicotine is a strong addictive substance and smokers would justify anything to smoke, almost like a religion.
I haven’t personally used YouTube as often as before, since nowadays many creators just try to be clickbaity (and yes, I do use the DeArrow extension). I watch YouTube on the TV with my family, though
I’m single but I notice everyone has a specific smell. Try smelling some of your loved ones’ clothes and you get what I mean. I figure that this would be especially apparently for the visually impaired.
Much of Indonesia outside of Bali. They have the “Wonderful Indonesia” campaign yet I don’t see that many international tourists here. The fact that most non-Indonesians don’t know what Indonesia is and how they think Bali is its own country is a clear indicator.
As far as I know the reputation that I hear about Indians is that they are too proud of themselves, and any criticism of the country is deemed “propaganda”

This really sucks for many disabled people who rely on ‘low skill, repetitive’ jobs to survive. I hope Mercedes addresses this (I doubt, given how capitalists hate disabled people).
I can relate to this. I feel like if a medium relies on getting as many eyes as possible, be it from the studios or even the creators themselves, they aren’t as engaging, since I’ve seen the same thing over and over. I sort of understand, though. Any time-based visual media can spend a lot for its production, so you gotta take in as much as possible to make up for it. Nowadays I read books that don’t have as much pressure or certain movies, but that’s it.
India’s government has been authoritarian lately, given their alleged request to remove tweets that are critical of them from Twitter, so this is worrying.
My special interests (I’m autistic). Online has a niche for everything which is why I’m more inclined to share them. For now it’s AI companionship and Chanda from Pantheon.
