So, I just found out that Hunter Schafer is trans. Never guessed. Good for her.

It would need to be us that needs to evolve away from being sensitive to mosquito saliva. But our immune system went the other way to be allergic to it so we could defend against any infection or disease the bug might carry. Further proof of human stupidity in our evolution, that we trigger the defense mechanism after the the attack instead of preventing it.
Vive la resistance
Umm, I have some rock salt somewhere around here.
You know, I think I should ask my it guy.
I have my primary daily driver laptop running Arch for web programming and writing, my side laptop running arch for monitoring services and writing, my server computer running (again) arch that I use for web dev and jellyfin streaming, and my work laptop running Ubuntu for server management. Not to mention my chromebook for paper weight, and my wife’s laptop on Win10 she uses for design stuff. Nobody running games outside of my xBox One.
I have ADHD but I don’t tire of foods like most people do. Every morning it’s the same kind of bagel and I still love the flavor of it. My wife can get tired of the same protein in different dinners, but I’ll go a week on chicken before moving to beef.
If you want more user owned internet, make federalized services not just more popular, but easier to spin up and run. Lemmy is great, but I should be able to spin up an instance on my home server without much trouble. Give me the ability to run and manage peer tube on my own.
Here’s something to blow your mind: podcasts pre-date the iPod.
Johnny Mnemonic. Keanu cannot act for shit in it, the story isn’t exactly gripping, hell the action in it is somewhere in the shitter. Oh, and Henry Rollins is a nerdy doctor. All if it adds up to a campy trip of slop that triggers my guilty pleasure.
I started screening my phone calls.
I loved it, but not the last season and how it ended.
Most of the junk for it push the Jack/Sally ship, there is so much fan art of it, it’s rather insane.
I don’t hate it, but I can’t understand the wider appeal of it, Nightmare Before Christmas. I don’t understand why people think the Jack and Sally relationship is so great. She pines away and he’s to self absorbed to even notice that she is a girl. And there are people who to this day still make it their entire personality. It is a decent movie, and I like the music, but it’s not that great.
My opinion on tech is that there are cool things being done that do one shiney thing, but everyone disregards the shit it produces behind the scenes. Blookchain is an awesome concept, the whole chain depends on all the other parts of it, but the fact that in order to use it, you have to download the whole thing in several systems. The size of a single will grow so large, only a few companies will be able to analyze it at scale. And AI is a huge joke. Nobody should be celebrating generative AI. A ton of computing power that is dangerous to our eco system, and it’s all trained on shady material. Nobody is doing anything significant about the power consumption, just coming up with agencies to help companies use AI properly. It’s all a joke. Most of our most influencial technologies are just someone asking how to make big bucks off something comes else created for free.
AI should be used as a recommendation, not an absolute answer.
Almost like these people read Ayn Rand and jerked off.
My big question is that if a whole flock is killed when bird flu is discovered, why are JUST egg prices going up? My local grocery store recently had a sale on chicken but the eggs are in short supply and cost nearly 10 times what they used to a few months ago? Shouldn’t chicken meat be expensive too? Or do I not know anything about poultry farming and bird flu?
