There is nothing diverse, equitable or inclusive about oligarchs, quite the opposite, but I see your point.

I often get confused between oligarchy, kleptocracy and plutocracy, that’s why I would look it up. I do understand how we can all be a little ignorant. We should do better.

It thought that Vegas was an abomination, a testament to the vanity of mankind but that book made me understand that Phoenix has twice as many people, is bigger though sure, is a little wetter on average and should hold that title.

How is this one of the cheapest cities to live in in the US? Why are we moving the micro chip industry there?

I do believe that a lot of aspects of The Ministry for the Future by K.S. Robinson have chances of becoming true.

The deadly heatwave in south Asia, governments going rogue and playing with geo engineering on their own, climate refugee camps and the general sense of too little too late.

But the book is fairly optimistic, so hopefully, people of the world getting together and accepting a new paradigm will come to be true.

Two Dudes One Cup: the not so White House edition

The beauty of the civil rights movement was that on the one side you had the peaceful protests, the disobedience pointing at the other side where activists wanting the same thing and more weren’t so peaceful. The peaceful protesters were the compromise. The alternative was a black revolution, the black panthers, Malcom X etc.

Even those who don’t want a full French Revolution right now should at least push for peaceful protest. We need this “or else” approach. We shouldn’t let it go to waste.

I read that as well, I just wish there was a better way to ensure the funds would go to him. We just have the word of whomever setup that fundraising page. I don’t know if I trust it.

How do we know for sure the money will go to McShooty? I couldn’t find any guarantee on the funding page. I’m worried it’s yet another grift…

Probably a computer. I still don’t know if I want a laptop or a desktop. Still don’t know if I want to stay with Apple products or try something new. The frameworks laptops look cool but not the best bang for the buck. I also assume the tariff will kill the supply chain of spare parts which makes them attractive in the first place.
