Why don’t people want to use mastodon?
Because it doesn’t have a proper discover feed.

i am using a public instance right now, might host one in the future. its just been two days since i started using it and i am still trying to get accustomed to it.
have you tried searchpage or searxng? i think they use google (while searxng also use other search engines) beyond the scenes.
Adding to that, their notification system kinda sucks for me.
Telegram would never do that.
Yeah, can make some products better but most of the products these days that use AI, it doesn’t actually need them. It’s annoying to use products that actively shovel AI when it doesn’t even need it.
no wonder the board hates him lol? also how can they not know about what they are (or were) working on when they have invested a lot on a company that practically had no products (before chatgpt)?
if you want a second opinion, it’s good trust me.
getting my offer letter. compensation is fair enough for my skills, so i am just playing some games waiting for the offer letter.
would be cool if it’s smooth like how arc does it, would instantly switch back to Firefox if they manage that. arc is still buggy on many things or when i use some websites.
what does that parameter mean though?
why would they want to move to a defederated SO, it’s going to be public anyways too.
how important this type of research
I hope they also figure a way to find the bad actors who might use their tools for harmful purposes. You can’t just create something for “research” purposes like this and not find a way to stop bad actors using these for harmful purposes.
google meet and google forms are the only thing that still makes me use google from time to time. youtube is another story since idt there is a good alternative for that, nope not peertube sorry.

that was the time to be social with each other and the managers.
sadly it’s still a bit true, a friend of mine who was in the same office told me the only time his manager was social was during smoking breaks or after office hours (like at parking spaces etc…)
he quit smoking when i first met him but all the pressure and stuff made him pick smoking again, hope he quits it again.
I loved how the game gave you agency to make your own decisions and made you think about the implications of all of your actions.
Exactly my thoughts after my actions left Judy leave Night city. Should not have killed Maiko. Made me wonder whether could I have saved Takamura too.
Clocked in around 45 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 and I think I might reach an ending in another 5 hours. I had good expectations for this game and this game is just way higher than my expectations.
Love the world building, the lore they are trying to build on side, references to Cyberpunk Edgerunners sometimes.
Meta has a really bad history using users data for their own good and yeah that’s the reason people are sceptical of Threads. Twitter on other hand, its just they are milking their subscribers. But they have lots of porn bots which makes it unusable sometimes. I think there is an ios app named “Mammoth” that has a similar feed that uses algorithm but I use android so I can’t say whether that’s good.
Discover feed in Mastodon sucks a lot for me, the number of posts there are very limited and not tailed to my preferences. On one hand, that makes it less addicting than twitter which is good for me, on the other hand, it doesn’t make me use it much which is also good for me but bad for them ig.
