Why would they block that? I understand that a company might not want the reverse to happen but this just seems counterproductive
Just because I use Lemmy doesn’t mean I was able to convince anyone of my social circle to join (with lack of content as the primary reason). Building communities requires users and a lack of those is an issue with many FOSS projects.

If you were saving it. Actually you would be investing it so no need to actually save up 1 million. 30 years is on the optimistic side though. The more common problem seem to be low wages, as those leave nothing to be safed (for 30+ years) at the end of the month.

I think it’s mostly about convenience. Most people don’t care enough and have only learned how to install chrome (if it isn’t preinstalled)

I felt that change. Everytime i used it the results in the suggestion box had nothing to do with what I was searching for.
The flood of AI generated anything is really annoying when looking for an actual human created source.
