WTF is life coaching? Have a facebook acquaintance who did some class and calls herself one, after being a yoga instructor. Like–why would you take advice from a person of middling success? Is it just another MLM where people calling themselves life coaches teach other people to be life coaches so they can teach more life coaches?

I thought he did have to take the stand, but didn’t have to be there for the rest of the trial. AFAIK he’s compelled to testify (or take the fifth, but he and the kids have to do one or the other).

This is a ridiculous take. The plea deal was in a Georgia state RICO case, the rioters were tried in federal courts for totally different crimes. Powell, Cheese Bro, et al. still face charges in Jack Smith’s inquiry.

Nope, not sarcasm. I legit think the DA should have worked harder for a plea and saved the time, money, and embarrassment of a trial.

I’m really surprised the DA took this to trial. I can’t imagine a jury in the US that would have returned a conviction.
