i’ve personally noticed that ppl on reddit have become a lot more racist overall in the past few months, esp visible bc i have a flair indicating that i’m from russia lol, idk if that’s directly related or not, just something i have observed
most toxic thread i’ve probably ever encountered was that was where the foreign policy chief said “europe is a garden, the rest of the world is a jungle, jungle can attack the garden”, like holy shit, i browse 4chan from time to time and it now seems like a less racist place 😬
i’m aware of these things, i just expressed what i felt in my original comment, are you trying to make me not sad?
i realize the implications of monarchy
these two irreconcilable perspectives weirdly coexist within me
ngl, i kinda feel sad
i grew up in england as a child, and was exposed to her and the british monarchy in general, and they were a significant part of my childhood, and i guess the combination of of the lack of responsibilities and the general impressionability of childhood just left me with a super warm, nice, pleasant, comforting feeling about her, she was kinda like my grandma…
and it inevitably feels sad to me when this part of my life goes away
but on the other hand, i realize the implications of monarchy, especially given the current crises in england, and very much think that monarchy is a bad thing, and so these two irreconcilable perspectives weirdly coexist within me…
reddit in shambles lol
