Colleges around the country are reporting some of their international students’ visas are being revoked unexpectedly, expressing alarm over what appears to be a new level of government scrutiny.

Visas can be canceled for a number of reasons, but college leaders say the government has been quietly terminating students’ legal residency status with little notice to students or schools. That marks a shift from past practice and leaves students vulnerable to detention and deportation.

The list of colleges that have discovered students have had their legal status terminated includes Harvard, Stanford, Michigan, UCLA and Ohio State University.

If you are a foreign student who still wants to come here you are just as dumb as we are. Idk if I should welcome you or chastise you lol.

Either way, you better be white or you are going to have a bad time. On the other hand, if you aren’t white you might get a free trip to El Salvidor out of it.

I know a friend who is about to go there in May for his MBA, the last time we talked he said he has no choice as he is already full in, he has taken loans and already completed the first year in some sort of online hybrid clsss so he can’t back off now as he says his life will be destroyed if he does so. So at this point he can only hope that he isn’t targeted. Seeing these news I can only imagine how dire it is, I hope he can work something out and don’t get himself into this mess.

I wish your friend the very best. I hope their trip to the US is a safe and, ultimately, prosperous one. Just don’t travel close to the southern border and make damned sure they have their papers with them if they do. Good luck Maldreamer’s friend.
