The bills aim to end ICE 287(g) agreements in Maryland, which at least eight counties have, including Washington County. The measure passed 99 to 40 in the House of Delegates and by 32-12 in the Senate.

Do you mean, “will it prevent ICE making use of these agreements with local police forces” or "will it prevent ICE from deploying onto Maryland’s streets and committing acts of violence and repression?

I’m not so sure the lawless thugs care for laws, so yeah, unless someone wants to enforce these laws that the federal paramilitary will inevitably ignore, no, it probably won’t.

The majority position is probably lets give actual due process for illegal aliens, not kidnap them and send them to countries they’ve never lived in. It’s probably also let’s not split up families and lose track of children. It’s probably also let’s reform immigration to where it makes it easier to become a citizen.

The majority of people agree that immigration enforcement exists. We did evolve from Apes and still have some primitive tribal instinct left over.

However, a lot of people don’t like the way ICE operates. The lack of judicial oversight means that if an ICE operative decides to shoot someone for the sake of it (which has been documented), there is no chance for them to be held accountable.
