  • This can only be “normalized” in the same way that gambling can be normalized. You can also write an article filled with testemonials of people who want to elaborate on the positive sides of gambling. This is an article of someone under financial strain being roped in to spending hundreds a month that she’s hiding from her husband. It’s an unhealthy addiction and should be discussed as such.

  • I once made fun of someone on hexbear for denying genocide. A few days later, all of my recent comments had exactly the same number of downvotes, somewhere in the ballpark of 20, all across different communities. Whichever one of those comments received the least upvotes is my personal winner.

As an added bonus, this was after hexbear disabled downvotes, so they had to either pay for bots or run bots on an instance other than hexbear to pull that off.

Edit: Looks like a tankie read this and decided the appropriate response was to go to my profile and comment unhinged replies on all my recent comments. Thanks mods for cleaning them up so quickly.

  • At time of writing, the top posts on this sub are about meta’s influence over politics, the enduring value of physical media, someone made an art gallery in doom, and Meta’s lack of censorship and how that affects minorities. This community is absolutely on topic discussing technology news and if you think otherwise, you are being absurd.

If you’re looking for articles about how some university claims they’ve invented a new battery 1 million times as powerful, stop diluting yourself. “Corporate shenanigans” of big tech companies IS TECHNOLOGY NEWS. Any statement to the contrary is pure hallucination about a world that never existed.

  • Teslas have no appeal for government vehicles anyways. They’re overpriced, unmaintainable, and unmodifiable. The cybertruck only comes with a permanently covered bed, which is not useful if you want to use it like a truck.

This will hurt government orgs that want to use electric trucks for short distance hauls and the post office. One will cost you more money, and the other will help republicans in the polls.
