“Leave” from public view. That is all people on the right ask of Musk. They are okay with his interference and interventions. He just makes himself too much of a target by being publicly visible.

You can’t be the shadow government when you’re exposed to sunlight. Then again, the brain behind the entire operation never stepped out of the shadows and will remain there. Peter Thiel.

It should be common knowledge that Thiel wrote the actual manual for all of this shit as far back as 2009. The Education of a Libertarian, ironically enough. He really believes in his own bullshit, too.

Honestly, I hope Musk throws a temper tantrum and just starts leaking shit like crazy. He’s unstable and unhinged enough that I wouldn’t put it past him, especially since he basically paid for this election.

Yeah, I hope that plays out too, and it’s never out of the question with how unhinged and drugged up Musk is, but unfortunately I think this is less Musk stepping back for real and more of a bullshit PR move to get some of the heat off of Trump and Elon both -

The president remains pleased with Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency initiative, but both men have decided in recent days that it will soon be time for Musk to return to his businesses and take on a supporting role, according to three Trump insiders who were granted anonymity to describe the evolving relationship.

One senior administration official said Musk is likely to retain an informal role as an adviser and continue to be an occasional face around the White House grounds. Another cautioned that anyone who thinks Musk is going to disappear entirely from Trump’s orbit is “fooling themselves.”

The transition, the insiders said, is likely to correspond to the end of Musk’s time as a “special government employee,” a special status that temporarily exempts him from some ethics and conflict-of-interest rules. That 130-day period is expected to expire in late May or early June.

Maybe we can convince Musk that we’d all find him really cool and based if he did that

Here’s hoping they can find all the backdoors that Big Balls or whatever put into all the government software to funnel money or accelerate the collapse or whatever if/when sane people once again are in control.

They can just declare that the passage of time has stopped, like they did for the national security exemption allowed by for the tariffs.

Well, considering that pretty much everything he says is a lie, I’m going to assume that Elon will be around for a long time.

Nah bro, I wouldn’t even piss on you if you were somehow on fire.

… and increasingly view the billionaire as a political liability, a dynamic that was thrown into stark relief Tuesday when a conservative judge Musk vocally supported lost his bid for a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat by 10 points.

Will the real suckers and losers, please stand up?

Or at least would the real suckers and losers please shut up? They’re always the loudest and dumbest in any space, and it’s as if they stopped talking for even a second, they might actually have a critical thought (and that terrifies them).

That’s what I’m expecting. They aren’t going to fix what Musk broke and they are going ahead with tarrifs, which wasn’t Musk led.

I’m guessing that DOGE will also continue cutting funding left and right without Musk at the helm. Nothing changes with him stepping back.

Skum has got to be hearing from his board and shareholders. I would be shocked if there aren’t lawyers currently arranging a class-action lawsuit against him, for recklessly tanking the stock price, and the board of directors for not reigning him on or firing him.

The decline of the stock and the company brand image is DIRECTLY attributable to his personal behavior. Any idiot could have predicted the harsh negative response to his gleeful pyschopathic antics, and as a supposed genius, he should have known this.

Its already too late for Tesla. It was one of those magical stocks that was far too expensive for its fundamentals, and now that the bubble has popped, it will never inflate again. Tesla is now just another unprofitable experimental car company, and like all that have come before, it will go bankrupt in a few years.

Skum is directly responsible for that, and his net worth will suffer greatly for it. Even more unfortunately for him, the net worth of his shareholders will also suffer, and they will eventually want to take it out of his hide. Tesla will be the first to go, but eventually all of his companies will tank. Its just a matter of time.

All he has to do is step back. People have short memories. He has enough wealth to weather it until people forget and start buying Tesla again, especially if Trump keeps throwing him contracts to keep up the stock for a year. I wish there was better news, but unless sales flat out stop and the stock crashes, he wins. And the board will kick him and say “see, it’s fine now”, pushing aside the fact that his whole wealth is based on the stock, so even if he’s out, he benefits. That said, could he leave Tesla without the stock cratering? So maybe there’s a way he’s held accountable. But sadly, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
