I’ve been on my original 100 free searches or whatever it is for like 6 months. I just use it occasionally when DDG can’t get the job done, and it often comes through where the other engines can’t.

Same thing nearly happened to Xerox, people used Xerox to mean “make a copy” so much they nearly lost the trademark to it

They make their money on ads, so if it takes you multiple clicks or searches to get the answer you want, they sell more ads.
