Here in Canada we killed our penny years ago. The US used to have a half penny, but it was killed over 100 years ago. Minting such a small amount of change that sees almost no practical use is pointless.

Well, getting rid of the penny was always kinda a good idea. It costs more to make one than it’s actually worth.
