Step 1: Put it in wrong. Step 2: Put it in…wrong!?
Step 3: Magically it works.I curse the designers of the USB-A standard to not make it flippable just to save a few cents during manufacturing.
Think of the collective time humanity wasted doing the flips.
If its a horizontal port the holes should face up. According to the specs at least
And the device/cable being plugged in should (if present) have the USB symbol facing upwards
The seam side goes down. The enemy’s gate is always down. You’re welcome.
it’s seriously not that hard, just take a few minutes to remember the direction of your computers’ ports
I hope usb-c becomes standard everywhere
Eh, usb-c is great, but not for everything.
Type a is great for things that stay in place for long periods of time, 3.5mm headphone jack is good and simple. Rj45 is a great connector for it’s purpose
USB-C is amazing for portable devices, or connectors that are inserted/removed often and require high bandwidth or power delivery
Honestly, I’m hoping it would replace all peripherals (keyboard to monitor) but monitor might be a long way from happening.
I have currently everything on usb-c on laptop, mainly since I’m using the built-in dock on display, and I love it.
On desktop though I’m happy with what it got, since I’m never messing with those cables
laughs in USB-C
Colored-side down, c’mon guys 🙄
Its the one attack we can’t stop.
