Watchmen came out almost a decade before Comic Sans existed, it was hand-lettered by Dave Gibbons. In fact, it directly inspired the creation of Comic Sans according to Wikipedia.

The graphic novel was revolutionary when it came out in the late 80s. For a comic book it’s still extremely good, if you like character-based stories.

Zack Snyder has a real talent for totally abandoning the actual meaning of comics in favor of capturing an aesthetic and this is no exception.
Yeah, but the aesthetics though 👌👌👌. I remember watching Watchmen at the theater and thinking these scenes are straight out of the comic panel. Love both of them.

Funny enough, the movie has a better fitting ending while the comic has better story pacing.
I hated the movie ending which is why I know it was so good. It ended in a way that was unsatisfying to me and I feel like that’s important to the story.
